Pumpkin Beers

In the fall I really enjoy pumpkin beers. Last year many new Pumpkin beers were introduced to Arkansas. My two favorites were South Hamptons Pumpkin Ale (86, 93 in style), and Shipyards Smashed Pumpkin (84, 92 in style).

South Hampton Pumpkin ale is a great fall session beer. It's a great beer to drink on the porch in the evening when the temperature starts to fall.

Smashed Pumpkin is an Imperial Pumpkin ale that's best when served at about 55 degrees. The pumpkin flavor is really fantastic when it warms up a bit.

I highly recommend these two pumpkin beers.

Sofie at the Saucer

One of my favorite beers from Goose Island is available on tap for the first time in Arkansas at the Flying Saucer.  Sofie is a Belgian style Farmhouse Ale that is fermented with Oranges.  I have not been to the Saucer in a while but for this beer on tap I will make the 50 mile drive from Malvern.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog about beer in Arkansas.  I will be updating this blog on a regular basis with any beer news that I find interesting.

Cheers,

James
